Calvin and Frances in her Czech costume.

The Newly weds, Calvin and Frances McOmber. After Calvin's mission, he wrote a letter of proposal (after waiting six months as was mission rules) and brought dear Frances Brodilova to Pocatello, Idaho. They were married April 30st, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. This is Frances in her native Czech costume. The native Czech costume to a new bride was more important than a wedding dress. In olden times, the brides were married in their native costumes. Frances may have borrowed her wedding dress. Apostle John A Widtsoe married them and gave them a wedding breakfast in his home in Salt Lake City.
